LAS VEGAS, Nev. Banks Cold Storage, designed and built by Ti Cold, stands as a remarkable feat of design and engineering, recognized among the top projects in North America through the Controlled Environment Building Association’s (CEBA) prestigious Built by the Best competition, which honors excellence in the design and construction of state-of-the-art temperature-controlled facilities.
Buildings recognized with the Built by the Best Award seal represent the most innovative and complex facilities built around the globe, meeting the intricate and unique standards set forth by the controlled environment industry.
The 210,000-square-foot facility in Commerce, Georgia, represents a major leap forward in cold storage innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainability for the Southeast’s growing cold chain sector. Completed in just over a year after breaking ground, the project features 30,000 pallet positions, a 65-foot-clear height, and an eco-friendly, low-charge ammonia refrigeration system capable of maintaining temperatures from 40°F to -20°F.
Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper praised the facility’s role in strengthening the state’s $91.5 billion agriculture industry:
“You’ve got to have these types of facilities to allow the food supply chain to be safe, secure, efficient, and effective,” said Harper.
The facility’s rapid delivery and technological sophistication exemplify Ti Cold’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of cold storage performance.
“This project is a testament to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability,” said Sam Tippmann, CEO and Founder of Ti Cold. “We’re proud to see it recognized among the best in our industry.”
It was an honor to be part of CEBA’s Built by the Best Awards, and Banks Cold Storage’s recognition stands as a major accomplishment, affirming its status as one of the most advanced and impactful cold storage facilities.
