COMMERCE, Ga. (April 11, 2025) — Banks County, Georgia, took a step forward in innovation on April 11 as community members gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating this latest achievement—a cutting-edge cold storage facility designed and built for Banks Cold Storage.
As a leader in the cold chain industry, Ti Cold partnered with Banks Cold Storage to design a facility that redefines the standard for cold storage operations. The focus was on creating a highly efficient, technologically advanced space capable of meeting the growing needs of the frozen and refrigerated food sectors while incorporating solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper highlighted the critical role the facility will play in supporting the state’s number one industry. “So, in Georgia, agriculture is our state’s main industry. It’s almost a 91.5 billion dollar industry. It truly is the backbone of our state economy. Anytime we’re investing and continuing to invest in our state’s number one industry, means opportunity for our state to continue to grow…… And this cold storage facility, Bank’s Cold Storage, is going to play a critical role in the success of the poultry industry in getting the product from the farm to the processing facility and then on to market. You’ve got to have these types of facilities to allow that food supply chain to be safe, secure, efficient, and effective,” said Harper.
This ambitious project caught the attention of government officials, dignitaries, and special guests, thanks to its technological innovations and impressive turnaround time. The groundbreaking took place on November 29, 2023, and Ti Cold moved quickly to complete this state-of-the-art, multi-temperature cold storage facility that is now open for business just over a year later.

Strategically situated just off GA 59, the location offers convenient access to I-85 and US 441. Key features of the facility include 210,000 square feet of space, a 65-foot-clear height, and two docks with a total of 35 dock doors. The facility also boasts a remarkable 30,000 pallet positions.
In line with its commitment to sustainability, Ti Cold has incorporated an eco-friendly refrigeration system, significantly reducing electricity consumption while maintaining precise temperature ranges from 40°F to -20°F. This system underscores Ti Cold’s dedication to both technological excellence and environmental responsibility.
